Bullying can destroy lives.

Bullying can be physical aggressiveness or verbal abuse. It can mean being beaten up in the hallways or after school or personal insults about one's appearance, intelligence, culture, etc.

Students who are bullied suffer with low self-esteem. However, they need to realize, with the support of their peers, teachers and parents, that it's not their fault.

If you or a friend finds themselves in a bullying situation, here are some suggestions:

1. Do not let the situation go on for a long time. The faster you deal with it the better it is for you.

2. YOU need to realize that you cannot handle the situation by yourself. TELL SOMEONE. An Adult -- your parents, a teacher, aunt, uncle.

3. YOU must realize that you deserve respect. You do not have to put up with bullying and harrassment.
