Once again people around the country tuned in to watch the
42 Annual Grammy Awards on February
        23.

Celebrities gathered together and were acknowledged for their
achievements throughout the past year. Award shows, such as the
Grammy's, not only bring about recognition for many celebrities
but many reviews for the best/worst dressed, best/worst performances,
and best/ worst couples. People are not only rated on how they
perform throughout the year but how they are presented for this
            one night. |

Performances were given by Britney Spears, Elton John, The
Backstreet Boys, Ricky Martin and Santana. Spears performance
wasn't her regular presentation. It had a very mechanical feeling
to it. These performances were well acknowledged by the crowd
        and kept them entertained.

            Carlos Santana had a very
huge night. He won eight Grammys which is a record amount, which
has only been reached by Michael Jackson. It was a big night
for Christina Aguilera as well, she was awarded the Grammy for
Best New Artist. She was in competition with such artists as
Britney Spears and Kid Rock, and seemed very surprised and overwhelmed
            to receive the award. |

Jennifer Lopez, I think was most recognized for her outfit
or lack thereof. She wore a very revealing ensemble that couldn't
help but be noticed. Christina Aguilera was also wearing a very
flashy outfit. On another fashion note Ricky Martin looked very
        elegant and smooth.
Congratulations to all award winners and nominees for their
outstanding talent. Thanks to Rosie O'Donnell for being such
an honest and opinionated host. |
