The playoffs
begin. The regular season is finished, and all the teams that
are in will play to win the opportunity to drink out of Lord
Stanley's Cup. The playoffs start on April 12/00.
From First round to the final round, each match-up is the
best out of 7 game series.
Like the previous year, the playoffs will show the best match
ups.

East Division
I would say look out for the Buffalo Sabers, because the Flyers
don't want to count them out. If Buffalo has a healthy goaltender
then they may be a dominant team and contender.
The Caps and the Pens will be a series to watch. Kolzig against
Jagr, Tugnutt against the fire power of the Caps.

The Canadian rivals - the Senators against the Leafs: Barrasso
and the speedy Senators against Cujo and the eight 20 goal scorers.
The Panthers and the Devils go head to head. Will the goal
tending of the Devils be enough to handle the combination of
Pavel and Mellanby? |
West Division
This is a good one to tune into as well. The Sharks could
upset the Blues and the Blues could very well find themselves
singing the blues if they're not careful.
Dallas and the Oilers. This isn't a new thing for them. Last
year they met in the playoffs and each game was close and all
were one game victories. This is a series to watch. Especially
pay attention to Mike Modano of Dallas.
The Talented Avalanche playing against a very underestimated
Phoenix team - Will the Avalanche hit the golf course early?
If they're not careful, they might.
Detroit v.s. L.A is going to be a hitting series. The Red
Wings will win if Steve Y is healthy. If not then kiss this season
good bye.
Tune into the playoffs and see who will be the winner of the
Stanley Cup . |
