My Trip to the Czech Republic

I went to the Czech Republic last August. It was part of an exchange with my school. Several people were chosen out of the ones that signed up. I didn't know how to speak Czech but our exchange students spoke fluently. I was so happy when I first saw my exchange student. Her name was Gretta. I felt sort of uncomfortable at first being around a complete stranger. We had pictures of them but, we were forbidden to talk to them.

They came over to Montreal, Canada first. This is were I live. I really tried hard to make her enjoy her trip. She was a very nice girl. We visited places such as the Olympic Stadium and the biodome. But what I really wanted, was to go to Czecheslovakia.

I don't think that I got any sleep the day before we left. I was so excited. I had never been on a plane before so it was double the thrill. The first thing I did was go to Gretta's house, that's where I unpacked all of my belongings. I was very worried about making a good first impression. I was going to spend two weeks with them so I wanted them to like me. Our first visit was to Prague. It used to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We ate lunch at McDonald's and I was amazed that they sold beer. I saw so many wonderful things, but that will have to wait until next time.
