The journey

Turner Fenton Secondary School
Brampton, Ontario

By Aimee (Grade 11)

the journey is long.
Farther than your poor legs will walk.
You'll die before you reach the final destination.
You'll become sick,
before you're halfway there.
The trip is too far,
but only by foot can you travel.
the road is long
surrounded by evil.
Your feet will crumble away
in the acidic environment
the journey, perhaps,
is way too long for you.
You will be poisoned
and dead
long before you reach yourself.
