Most people think that whales are fish but their not. Whales are mammals like you and me. Whales are really cool. As a matter of fact, marine parks such as Marineland train killer whales (also known as orcas) to do really cool tricks.

There are approximately 100 different kinds of whales in the world and they are separated into two different groups: the toothed whale group, and the baleen whale group. Some of the whales in the toothed whale group are the killer whale, the sperm whale and the beluga whale. Some of the whales in the baleen whale group are the blue whale, the humpback whale and the fin whale.

The difference between the toothed whale group and the the baleen whale group is that the whales in the toothed whale group have sharp teeth and they eat fish and other meats that they can catch. The whales in the baleen whale group have sharp, long pieces of baleen that trap their food in their mouth. Then they spit out the water in their mouth and eat the food called plankton. I've seen a lot of whales and I love them.
