The question everyone is asking, are they boys, or men? Wanya and Nathan Morris, Michael McCary and Shawn Stockman make up the fine acapella quartet called "Boys II Men".

The boys have been together since the late eighties. The ensemble was formed during a high school presentation of Creative Arts and Talents. A member of a popular musical group (at the time) was making a local appearance, and he signed them to his management company. In 1991, the group's debut "Cooleyhighharmony" appeared on store shelves. The song ‘End Of The Road', from the movie "Boomerang", topped the charts for 13 weeks at that time, that was the longest run ever. The Grammy-Winner ‘I'll Make Love To You' and its follow-up song, ‘On Bended Knee', both hit the big number one.

Boys II Men sing in a smooth, flowing fashion. The boys have their fast beats, and then they have their slow beats. They sing of love, the world and issues that concern us all.

Despite their inevitable yet large success, the group managed to top itself with the song titled ‘One Sweet Day', which the boys did as a duet in 1996 with Mariah Carey. The song rested at number one for 16 weeks - that's no underachievement, given the number of other men harmony groups which had shown up in previous years, trying (very unsuccessfully) to match the boys' chart records.

Out of the eleven, give or take a few, albums that Boys To Men have produced, there is one song that sticks with me. The song is called, ‘When The Water Runs Dry', written by Babyface (one of the boys). The song goes as follows,

We don't even talk anymore
And we don't even know what we argue about
Don't even say I love you no more
'Cause saying how we feel is no longer allowed
Some people will work things out
And some just don't know how to change

Chorus

The song has special meaning to me, reminding me of a past relationship. The words in this song just seem to be sung to me every time that I hear it.

The boys have an unbelievable amount of talent, which they have obviously used wisely. Boys To Men are a band of originality, talent and love.
