It's getting hot in heere
By Farah Kurji, SNN Editor, Hugh Boyd Secondary, Richmond, B.C.

And surprisingly people actually did take their clothes off. Nelly morphed Vancouver's Pontiac Theatre into his own mini "Nellyville" on Tuesday December 3rd bringing his full-fledged entourage with him, which included, Clipse, Fabulous, and the St. Lunatics. Despite rumours that Kelly Rowland would be at the show to give the first live performance of "Dilemma" the show still proved to be amazing even without her.

Isyss, Destiny Child "wannabees'" attempted to get the audience, (majority of ladies) pumped to see their man, Nelly but had no such luck. The "wannabees" could barely hold a tune and still needed to brush up on what they called dancing skills.

However, Clipe and Fabulous both proved to be amazing live, rapping to some of their most popular hits. Clipse even got the crowd pumped up by doing his bit from the Justin Timberlake song "Like I love you." But the crowd was still anxiously waiting for Nelly…

Nelly hit the stage rather late but still captured the audience's attention arriving on stage in all black with his "bling-bling" accompanied by the St. Lunatics. Featuring popular hits like "Ride With me," "Country Grammar," and "Batter up," Nelly's energy shone throughout and made the show a truly incredible experience. I don't think anyone had seen Nelly light up with as much energy as he had that night. Nelly ran from corner to corner pumping up the audience and making them feel as if they were truly part of something special. Also joining Nelly was Method Man who apparently has only appeared at the sold out Vancouver concert making it a truly unique show.

"It was amazing, Nelly really knew how to connect with the audience! The St. Lunatics were great and it's probably the best concert I have ever been to," commented Leah Schaff who had been bit with "Nelly fever" as well.

Half way through the show one of the St. Lunatics arrived on stage in a massive lit up Nike sneaker, hanging from the ceiling to help Nelly finish off the show with "Hot in here," "Girlfriend" and "Dilemma." With the ladies singing loudly to both "Girlfriend" and "Dilemma" Nelly got the attention and response he deserved after putting on a most excellent show.
